Who we are

Community Gospel Church is a close church family, worshiping in an atmosphere that is warm and friendly. Located in the Rochester area, in the beautiful and historic town of Scottsville, Community Gospel plays a large role in a community that still has that small town feel.

At Community Gospel, we run a contemporary worship service. A contemporary service incorporates a mix of the old and the new. We sing modern worship songs, led by a worship band that includes guitars, bass, keyboards, and drums. Yet we include the rich heritage of the hymns, led by our pianist.

We are Bible based, which means we believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and in life. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We are affiliated we Elim Fellowship, an informal fellowship of churches, ministers, and missionary endeavors. Being of Pentecostal conviction and Charismatic orientation, Elim Fellowship has grown its vision as a Christ-centered worldwide revival fellowship serving pastors, churches, missionaries, and other Christian ministers.

God is God alone.

Jesus is who He says He is—the Son of God and the Savior of the world.

The Bible is God’s personal word to us.

There is a real heaven and a real hell.

Anyone can be saved through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Christians are called to live lives that please God.

God can and does heal people.

The Holy Spirit is actively working in the lives of Christians.

Water baptism identifies us with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

Jesus Christ will return one day.

Christians are called to share their faith with others.
